City Director

Think you have what it takes to become a Compass City Coordinator? You’ll work with ministry and community leaders to help promote Compass in churches, schools, prisons, rescue missions, and more. Assists and answers to the Executive Director in coordinating Compass activities in their city or town.  The City Director works with other local Compass Team Coordinators in the ministry to help promote Compass in schools, churches, prisons, rescue missions, and other faith-based organizations. 

Responsibilities and Duties 

The City Director’s responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to: 

  • Provide Compass training for other local contacts and coordinators. 
  • Contacting faith-based organizations in the local area, to let them be aware of the Compass materials available to them. 
  • Attend faith-based events to promote Compass resources. 
  • Work with faith-based organizations to determine the most appropriate Compass resources to serve their specific needs.   
  • Follow-up with these faith-based organizations to help fine-tune their program for the future.

Community Non-Profit Coordinator
Position Description: 
Assists and answers to the Executive Director/City Coordinator to engage local nonprofits and promote the Compass family of resources.
 
Responsibilities & Duties:
 
The Community Non-Profit Coordinator’s responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:
 
  • Provide Compass material support to local non-profit ministries such as Teen Challenge, addiction recovery centers, ministries, shelters, etc.
  • Promote Compass resources within the non-profit community.
  • Provide Compass training for non-profit staff.
  • Provide support to other Compass Coordinators for their needs in relationships with non-profit organizations.

Local Administrative Assistant

Assists and answers to the Executive Director in handling general office tasks and administrative duties, such as directing communications between coordinators, customers, and donors, organizing schedules and events, entering data, bookkeeping, maintaining office equipment and so on. 

Responsibilities and Duties 

The Administrative Assistant’s responsibilities and duties include but not limited to: 

  • Provide Compass training for non-profit staff. 
  • Maintain, organize, and order general office supplies, including paper, pens, ink/toner, etc., to ensure teams have everything they need to succeed. 
  • Greet and sign in visitors, guide them to the appropriate location and make them feel at home. 
  • Manage and organize the team schedule using the Teams Calendar. 
  • Book travel arrangements for executive director 
  • Keep detailed meeting notes. 
  • Answer and direct phone calls. 
  • Work with the Board of Director’s treasurer to ensure all tax and related items are filed in a timely manner. 
  • Work with the Marketing & Communications Coordinator to have.

Local Marketplace Specialist
The Marketplace Specialist is the key customer liaison of Compass products and services to the local market.  Primarily responsible to teach and disciple other Christians to operate or influence their businesses or marketplace enterprises God’s way. Responsibilities and Duties The Marketplace Specialist’s responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:
  • Engage in the community through local marketplace ministries, Christian-focused gatherings, and nationally known organizations such as Kingdom Advisors, Christian Chamber of Commerce, CBMC, C12, Iron Forums, FCCI, Faith-Driven Entrepreneur, Marketplace Chaplains, etc.
  • Network and build relationships with Christians in the marketplace.
  • Build market momentum around financial discipleship.
  • Equip and empower Christians to apply and multiply finances God’s way by teaching Compass materials.  This includes facilitating group studies, devotionals, webinars, and discipleship programs.

Local Prayer Coordinator

Assists and answers to the Compass Executive Director or City Director by managing Compass ministry prayer efforts in their local ministry and community. The Local Prayer Coordinator, in collaboration with Church Coordinator and City Director, works to begin, maintain, and advance prayer resources for individuals and groups of all ages. 

Responsibilities and Duties 

The Prayer Coordinator’s responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to: 

  • Provide Compass training for non-profit staff. 
  • Serve as a prayer liaison between Compass and their local ministry and community. 
  • Communicate with the Compass leadership about the prayer needs of the ministry and community. 
  • Encourage the base of faithful Compass Financial Discipleship Leaders through prayer. 
  • Build a team of prayer warriors that reflects the needs of the ministry and community. 
  • Help raise up and train prayer leaders who can establish and lead small group prayer. 
  • Develop an information network to keep everyone informed of prayer concerns.

Church Coordinator
Position Description: 
Assists and answers to the Compass Executive Director by coordinating ministry efforts through teaching finances God’s Way in their local church. The Church Coordinator, in collaboration with church leadership, works to begin, maintain, and advance financial discipleship by promoting appropriate Compass resources for individuals and groups of all ages.
 
Responsibilities & Duties:
 
The Church Coordinator’s responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:
 
  • Serve as a liaison between Compass and their local church.
  • Communicate with the church leadership about the vision, events, and studies of Compass.
  • Establish a base of faithful Compass Financial Discipleship Leaders.
  • Build a team that reflects the needs of the local church.
  • Promote Compass resources in their church to help people learn, apply, and multiply financial discipleship.
  • Share the impact the resources have had on participants with Compass and church leadership.

Local Marketing and Communications Director

Assists and answers to the Executive Director to coordinate and maintain social media accounts, newsletters, and other marketing and communication initiatives. 

Responsibilities and Duties 

The Marketing & Communications Coordinator’s responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to: 

  • Provide Compass training for non-profit staff. 
  • Provide daily support for social media accounts. 
  • Provide the materials, design, and distribution of the newsletter on a timely basis. 
  • Provide support to other Coordinators for their needs in marketing and communications. 
  • Provide proofreading support for the ministry.

Financial Discipleship Master Trainer

Position Description:

The Financial Discipleship Master Trainer is a part-time volunteer role and is responsible to train, teach, and disciple Christians leaders to manage money and possessions God’s way, so that they may lead others in financial discipleship Bible studies. This role is accomplished through a variety of training methods both in person and virtually. A general working knowledge and understanding of Compass Resources is expected.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Aligns with Compass’ Operating Charter, Core Values and Statement of Faith
  • Biblically sound and Christ-Centered 
  • Has a heart and passion for discipleship and handling finances God’s way – desires to raise up and equip Financial Discipleship Leaders 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, detail oriented 
  • Personally committed to ongoing Financial Discipleship Journey 
  • Demonstrated ability and desire to serve others 
  • Faithful, available, and teachable in guiding others to and through a financial discipleship journey  
  • Capability to effectively lead virtual as well as in-person leader training sessions 
  • Lead people from different regions of the world to serve the one true and living God

Education & Experience:

  • Completed Financial Discipleship Leader Training 
  • 2 years experience of faithfully teaching Compass Financial Discipleship curriculum
