James graduated with a Master of Business Administration degree from Brunel University in 1996, and Bachelor of Business degree from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 1991.
James has distinguished himself as a business professional well established in strategic alliance and partnership management, and end-to-end supply chain management solutions architect. Over the past thirty years, James had contributed significantly in several industry segments such as consumer electronics, communication equipment, medical devices, and safety, security and surveillance devices, for both private and public sectors. As a business consultant, he helps to build business models well supported with capacity and resources management for stakeholders throughout the entire value chain.
James serve as Director in Compass Asia Pacific. Located in Singapore, he serves the region including China. His passion is to teach marketplace people to handle money based on the principles of the Bible. He desires people to know Christ more intimately, be free to serve and to fund the Great Commission.
James married Jessie in 1986 and they have two children, Kevin (married to Nettra) and Kenny, and one grandson Kaeden.
Michael MAK is a Chartered Accountant of ISCA (Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants) where he is a Fellow (FCA). He is also a Fellow of CPA Australia (FCPA). He holds a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from the National University of Singapore.
He worked in various companies in senior finance roles including CFO for DHL. He was CFO South East Asia for DHL Global Forwarding and later Asia Pacific VP Financial Planning & Analysis with DHL Supply Chain. He retired from corporate life end of 2013 as God led him to the Compass Ministry in 2014.
Michael is now Executive Director, Singapore with Compass, Finances God’s Way, a non-profit organization that specializes in financial training based on biblical principles, as a ministry. Michael’s passion has always been to help others to know and apply God’s truth. Compass uses God’s Word to share with Christians what God says about how we are to handle our finances His way so that they can be light and salt in the marketplace.
Michael and his wife, Linda have 3 children, Yvonne, Benjamin, and Christopher. They worship at Bethesda (Frankel Estate) Church, where Michael serves as a deacon, serving in the Evangelism Board and Finance Board. He was the Church’s Treasurer for 4 years (2016-2019) as by COC’s new rules, has to step down after 4 years.
